Lemonade from lemons, Messages from a Mess, Puzzle from the pieces, and Mended from pieces of garments… however you want to describe the journey, it is just that, a journey that was in the

works from before I was born. Yet this is My Story, My Anointing, and the glorifying of Christ in it all!  I have always been active in sports and even began workouts and running in college. Yet college also began fluctuating my weight, and not being happy with myself. Finding a happy weight or image of myself has been a battle since middle school to the point of even idolatry. Like Paul in the Bible, a true thorn as I tried so many ways to pray it away and find my value in Christ, but the struggle was real. I went from feeling too big in size to too small. I was unhappy at both points, and I wondered if I ever would be. I just wanted to be “normal,” meaning love me for me and feel and be healthy to enjoy each day as the gift from God it is. God led me down many paths and connected me with many people to try and get help to find peace with myself- my WHOLE self, not just on the outside but inside. Yet the roots of the issues never were taken out, and they repeatedly reared their ugly head. One day God placed a magazine in my hands telling Amy’s story of her whole-body transformation and renewing to focus on not man’s way of nutrition but God’s. In the verses she used and claimed, I still claim and refer to often. 3 John 2 “ Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.” 1 Timothy 4:8“ For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

Reading her story, God said, “This is your future. Save this and remember her. You will connect with her again. She has been through what you are going through, and I will use her to help you.” Not long after this, I made an appointment with Amy. At our first appointment, she listened as I foamed at the mouth, and then she asked if I would be open to prayer and whole-body spiritual healing. WHAT? Of course, I would! This was like going to buy a car and getting a boat thrown in too! Ok, maybe this is a bad example, but this was MORE than I had expected or thought I could wish for, bringing God into the healing and sessions, yet exactly what I needed and wanted. I didn’t know this was possible, but you know who did? Yep, the awesome Almighty God. Amy and I met once a week for what should have been an hour, but sometimes it was 2 hours. She never rushed or pushed me but let the Holy Spirit guide our sessions because HE was there! Every time I left our sessions, I felt renewed, reenergized, and ready to take on the world, or at least the next seven days, until we met again! Amy explained that we are made up of the Spirit (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit), the Soul (Mind, emotions, heart), and our body. I needed to heal my spirit and soul before healing my body. She surrounded me in prayer and prayers to take and say out loud each day to strengthen my Spirit and fight off those strongholds of Satan. 

The more I fought, the more Satan fought back, and the more digging and healing Amy and I would do guided by the Holy Spirit each week. Why did God choose Amy? Many reasons, but a few I have listed.1. She has been there, done that, and been healed. She knew what I was thinking, feeling, fears, and questions about body image idolatry and rejection. She related to me just like Jesus says He can relate to us because He went through it all in His 33 years on Earth. 2. She has credentials. She is not one to EVER boast about herself. I have YET to hear her boast or compliment herself. She always points her praise back to God. She does this through her resume “wall” of pictures of before and after clients. She can even tell you ones she has healed “Whole Body,” starting from the inside and what they are trying to fill with food before moving to the body. She began this part officially after we started together, feeling God’s prompting not to take new clients unless they agreed to this because she saw the true transformation in it. It stuck with them and wasn’t temporary. Praise for that! She also has a wall of diplomas. Yes, that is plural. She has MANY credentials, not for nutrition as much as for Bible college! She can throw out scripture almost as much as Billy Graham, point out Satan in the mix, and bring in the Holy Spirit, and He speaks through her. She has trophies lined on the wall, but they are NOT hers. She has plenty but is not one to boast. Her husband had to make her put one of her trophies up, but the rest are her clients. 3. She is open to God’s word. She will not speak or push unless she hears what He is saying. She doesn’t just talk to talk. Once I told her I loved her videos, and it prompted me to see her, she was shocked and felt God was speaking to her to do more of them. But she said she didn’t know what to speak on. So I helped her then and there, giving her a stack of notecards of topics I would love to ask her about and hear God's word on. Look for those to come soon!

4. She has a vision for YOU! She individualizes each of her clients and truly cares, wanting to get deep and heal you, giving God the Glory 5. Look at her eyes and hear her laugh… how can you NOT know she is from God? She has the joy only God can give, and nobody can take away! 6. She has a story and anointing from God to help others with weight, speak out to people of domestic violence, and more. So that is Why Amy. Why Me? You will have to ask God that. Trust me, I do. But as Amy says, I would not trade any of it if God uses it for His glory. It is worth it if my story and anointing can heal one person and point them toward God. I hate to know Amy went through all she did, but I am sure she is glad she did. I pray whoever needs to hear and read this does and steps out, then looks back, seeing how God planned it all out.
